Did you know that Creek Developments Plc offers a cavitation cleaning service? Cavitation cleaning is a method of using a jet of microscopic bubbles to dislodge the fouling from hulls, propellers and shaft, while the boat is still in the water. Unlike other methods of cleaning a hull in the water, cavitation cleaning is environmentally friendly, since it oxygenates the water and does not damage intact anti-fouling. It is very safe for the diver to use, and much cheaper than lifting the boat out for a power wash. You don’t need to be a race skipper to get your boat cavitation cleaned – if you are leaving your boat in the water this year, talk to us.
Due to abuse by non-marina users, access control has been installed on the doors of skip cabinets on the Ta’ Xbiex side of the Marina, and on the skip by Pontoon C. Access control will be installed on the remaining skip cabinets in the coming weeks. Access to the skip cabinets is via use of the same key used to enter the Pontoon gates.
Creek Developments Plc held a reception for shareholders on 2nd October 2015 to celebrate the inauguration of the new offices, clubhouse and facilities of the Msida & Ta’ Xbiex Marinas and thank the stakeholders for their support during the past five years. The Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Hon. Joe Mizzi, presided over the inauguration.
Since taking over the operations of the Marinas from Transport Malta in January 2011, Creek Developments plc has carried out a complete refurbishment of the Marinas, replacing the entire marina infrastructure and installing networked utility pedestals, access control, CCTV coverage, marina management software and wi-fi. Investment has also been made in human resources, with 24 hour marina assistance and a staff complement growing from three to thirteen over the past five years.
The purchase, design and finishing of the new offices, clubhouse and facilities marks the latest stage of an investment of nearly nine million Euro to date, ensuring that owners of the 740 visiting and resident yachts berthed in the Msida & Ta’ Xbiex Marinas enjoy standard-setting shoreside facilities in addition to the safe, central and sheltered location.
We are delighted to announce that washroom facilities of a high standard are available to Marina users on a 24 hour basis behind the new Marina Offices, accessed through a card available from reception.
